Fernando Olvera, the singer of Maná, was singing the lyrics to “Clavado en un bar” at the Pal’ Norte festival, in Monterrey, when a person threw a lace underwear onto the stage.
As soon as he saw it, Olvera grabbed it and stopped the song to perform a curious moment in communion with his fans.
“Wait, look what I found. It’s small, right?“, the 64-year-old singer began to say and then added: “It’s always tempting to smell them”.
In this sense, Olvera encouraged his followers to answer him if they wanted him to smell them or not: “Do we hear them or not?!”.
The response was positive, then he smelled them.
The curious moment ended with Olvera leaving her underwear behind along with her instruments and continuing with the song.
What they said on the networks
The @AdharaGE account shared the video of the “parade” on X and received around 1.2 million views in just a few hours.
“Someone threw red lace underwear at Fernando Olvera, the singer of Maná, he picked it up and said ‘there’s always the temptation to smell it’ and what do you think. “God gives me life to see these stupid things live and record them,” the user wrote.
In the comments, several tweeters expressed their opinion on the scene: “He didn’t say anything, they looked like they smelled like shit”; “You can see the face that almost vomited”; “Fer: ‘I shouldn’t have done that.'”
In the stories that the Mexican group uploaded from their show in Monterrey you can see how at one point the band had the words “No to violence against women” put on the stage screen to raise awareness about gender violence in Mexico.
