A case of widespread turbidity has shocked the American city of Houston, Texas in recent weeks. What happened? A couple was arrested for drug possession child pornography on their phones and from animal bestiality.
Joely (53) e William Mitchell Keen (52), parents of two young people (a third died at the age of two), were arrested on March 27 after pornographic material was discovered on their phones.
Mitchell, a former U.S. Marine, faces a charge of possessing approximately 100 photographs of child pornography, a third-degree felony.
Joely, a nurse, will be tried for animal bestiality: in a video found on one of the phones she is seen having sex with her Great Dane dog.
How the case was discovered
The case began to unravel after police arrested Mitchell at a supermarket on the outskirts of Houston for indecent exposure on March 13.
The law confiscated his phone after he was caught masturbating while following some children, the Daily Mail reported.
The investigation led the police to also accuse him of obscene acts towards a minor through exposure and, as already mentioned, of possession of child pornography.
In the zoophilic video, Joely is seen having “multiple sexual acts” with one of his three pets.
When they discovered the incriminating material, Houston police raided their home and arrested the couple. The children, aged between 18 and 10, were taken to live with their parents’ relatives.
The couple’s other two dogs were rescued by a “wildlife relocation” truck.
“It’s not normal. In the 20-plus years I’ve been doing this job, it never ceases to amaze me,” said Montgomery County Police Lt. Ken Washington.
“Every now and then something happens when you investigate a crime. So when these detectives were conducting this investigation and they found the images and videos and sexual acts, it was extremely disturbing,” said Washington, who himself did not he never stops being surprised by the animal’s appearance: “But then you see that there’s an animal involved, which makes it strange.”
Ultimately, the Keens were released on $5,000 and $50,000 bonds for Joely and Mitchell, respectively.
