No one better to describe the x thread which reminds us of its creator, @Thinkwert: “In April every year I take a photo upside down with my twin daughters in my arms”.
The father has been taking the traditional photo since 2016 and will continue like this until they give him arms. In the viral thread he uploaded all the images taken from that year until 2024. He then silenced the thread due to the huge amount of comments received.
Every year in April I take a reverse photo holding my twin daughters.

“The responses have been wonderful, but I can’t keep up anymore, so I’m going to mute the thread myself,” @Thinkwert begins in his final tweet. Below, however, the man answers the most common questions he has been asked on the subject.
A fun tradition
On the one hand, @Thinkwert said that twins are always on the same side: “R” on the left and “C” on the right. He also clarified that the girls are 9 years old, that they are identical and that their birthday is in June.
“Are the twins tired of these photos? No. C on my right is not smiling in the 2024 photo because I wanted to select a photo where my shoulders were straight and both twins were looking at the camera. You can see her smile in these outtakes. He was smiling in most of the photosbut not in this one,” he clarified.
He also said he started the tradition “on a random day in April just because it was nice.” The first photo of him appeared in his Facebook memories a year later and that’s when he got the idea to recreate it.
“How long will you continue to take these photos? While I can. Of course, every year they get heavier. I still get by easily, so I’m sure I can do it for a few more years. When I can no longer hold them, I will simply kneel down and make them stand up,” she continues.
The thread ends with a funny clarification from the father about hair loss: “Do you lose more hair every year? Yes. (2 Kings 2:23-25)
Why don’t you shave your head? I did it once when I was in my twenties. My skull is pointed at the top and with my shaved head I looked like Humpty-Dumpty. I will never shave my head again”.
