ROME, MAY 4 (ANSA) – Ukrainian journalist Oleksandr Makhov (4), a soldier in the armed forces, died Wednesday following a Russian bombing in Odessa, the portal Ukrinform reported.
The publication paid tribute to the reporter, recalling that Makhov was “a talented journalist who decided to choose the defense of the fatherland.”
Odessa government spokesman Sergey Bratchuk also made a broadcast on Telegram in memory of the journalist, who, in addition to his military reporter, worked for Ukraina and Ukraina 24 television channels.
Today, my good friend Oleksander Makhov, brilliant journalist, volunteer and brave soldier, gave his life to defend Ukraine.
