Minutes after Israel announced Iran’s kamikaze drone attack, Iran’s supreme leader issued a strong threatening message against Tel Aviv. In his speech, dated April 10 but broadcast on his social networks a few minutes after the launch of the drone, Ali Khamenei described the Israeli state as “a regime full of evil” and promised that the attack on the Damascus consulate “will be punished.”
“The evil regime, full of malice, wickedness and mistakes, has added another mistake to its own mistakes by launching an attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria,” Khamenei said in a speech broadcast through his social media accounts.
“The consulate and embassy offices in any country in which they are located, are considered the soil of the country to which the embassy belongs. Attacking our consulate is like attacking our soil,” he added, referring to the bombings that Israel raided the Iranian consulate in Syria, where a top regime general died.
And he concluded by saving a promise: “The evil regime has moved in this case. It must be punished, and it will be punished.”
The message is dated April 10, according to the legend superimposed on the video, but was published at the last minute on Saturday, after Iran launched a hundred aerial bombs against Israel.
Benjamin Netanyahu’s government has already convened its war committee, has closed the airspace since after midnight and has predicted that, if the drones reach Israeli airspace, the alarms and shield will be activated to intercept them.
