Israel: Three killed in stabbing in a city near Tel Aviv

Three people were killed in the stabbing on Thursday near Tel Aviv, Israel, and police suspect it was a terror attack as the country celebrates Yom Ha’atzmaut, the 74th anniversary of Israel’s Declaration of Independence.

The violent stage took place in Elad, a city located in central Israel where a large haredi ultra-orthodox Jewish community lives. Besides, four people were injured.

Since then, a total of 27 Palestinians and three Israeli Arabs have been killed (including the perpetrators of the attacks) in clashes with Israeli forces. The previous victim was a security guard killed in an attack in the city of Ariel on Friday.

That day, in addition, 43 people were injured in new incidents between Palestinian protesters and Israel Police on the Esplanade of the Mosques, in Jerusalem.
