Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the delivery of new weapons and equipment to Ukraine on Sunday, following an unannounced visit to the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.
Trudeau, at a press conference after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, also said that Canada has imposed new sanctions on Russian individuals and organizations linked to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“Today, I’m announcing more military assistance, drone cameras, satellite imagery, small arms, ammunition, and other support, including funding for mine clearance operations,” Trudeau said. Said.

He also said that Canada has reopened its embassy in the Ukrainian capital.
Canada is providing $25 million to the United Nations (UN) World Food Program as part of its efforts to maintain food security and remove trade tariffs on all imports from Ukraine to Canada over the next year.
