Two journalists of the Russian news channel RT were injured as a result of the fire opened by the Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine.
“The team of RT war journalist Valentin Gorshenin was attacked with Ukrainian missiles near Dokuchaevsk,” RT said in a statement published on Telegram.
Gorshenin was not shot, “Cameramen Vladimir Batalin and Viktor Miroshnikov were wounded in the legs and back with shrapnel and were hospitalized,” he said.
The Russian state-funded RT was banned in the European Union in early March, accused of being an instrument of Moscow’s “disinformation” in its February 24 attack on Ukraine.
The publisher denies these allegations.
Launched under the name “Russia Today” in 2005, RT has developed publishers and websites in many languages, including English, French, Spanish, German and Arabic.
