The top Republican in the US Senate, Mitch McConnell, made an unannounced visit to Kiev on Saturday, along with other Republican senators, and met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
McConnell urges Republican Senator Rand Paul to end his opposition to a $40 billion aid package for Ukraine, which enjoys massive support from both major US parties.
Zelensky celebrated what he said was a strong sign of bipartisan support for Ukraine.

Since the Russian invasion in February, dozens of foreign politicians and celebrities have visited Ukraine to show their support. President Joe Biden’s wife, university professor Jill Biden, made an unannounced visit to Kiev last Sunday.
