One person was killed and four were seriously injured in a shooting Sunday afternoon at a Presbyterian church in Laguna Woods, southern California.
Orange County authorities quickly intervened at the scene. They allegedly arrested a person and seized a weapon in connection with the incident.
Several people were treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to a local hospital.
Laguna Woods is a small American community of 16,000 people.
This is the second shooting in less than 24 hours that has occurred in the United States. On Saturday, in Buffalo, an 18-year-old young man killed 10 people at a grocery store with an automatic weapon. The racial crime was allegedly committed by a white supremacist in an area where most African Americans live.
