War could leave 90% of Ukrainians in poverty

An analysis by the United Nations (UN) pointed out that the war in Ukraine could leave nine out of every 10 people in the country at the poverty line.

The UN study also pointed out that a prolonged conflict could jeopardize the level of development Kiev has achieved in almost two decades.

Publishing its balance sheet on its website, the UN emphasized that the “deep social and economic wounds” caused by the war “will last for generations”.
