Pope Francis said on Thursday that a “dark cloud of warfare” is covering Eastern Europe, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to resolve conflicts around the world.

“The pastor continues to work through various channels to bring peaceful resolutions to conflict situations and alleviate the suffering caused by other social problems.
