The number of soldiers still remaining at the steel mill is unknown, but Ukraine has officially cited around 600.

According to Krotevych, the Chief of Staff of the Azov Regiment, Major Bohdan Krotevych, said: “The war is not over, full-scale war is just beginning. You will either have to be the commander and take control or flee and incur greater losses.” “Russia, like the United States, is used to fighting much weaker countries, and all problems are solved by massive artillery bombardments or air strikes”. “We are weaker in military potential, but the enemy’s confidence is our trump card.”

General Oleksii Gromov, head of the operational department of the Kyiv General Staff, said that “measures to evacuate Ukrainian soldiers from Mariupol continue”, without giving any indication of the number of soldiers leaving Azovstal. (ANSA)
