In another post, on the Facebook page of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service website, Boss appears to be working in the middle of the wreckage and is called a “militant dog.” He helped find nearly 90 explosives, the inscription reads: “Thank you for your tireless work, my friend.”

According to the country’s government, the dog, in addition to helping Ukrainians neutralize landmines hidden in their territory, also finds artifacts lost amid the rubble.

The boss was so successful that he even received a medal of honor for services rendered in the hands of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

The award was attended by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who was in Ukraine to provide more weapons and security equipment, and Myhailo Iliev, the Patron’s teacher.

“I want to reward the Ukrainian heroes who have already cleared mines. Along with the little heroes, we have our wonderful Boss, who not only defuses explosives, but also helps teach our children how important safety rules are when a mine threat is,” Zelensky said at the ceremony.

The dog has become a symbol of resistance and patriotism in Ukraine and is regularly featured in videos and commercials on official government channels, according to the BBC.
