This Sunday, a man fired in a moving New York subway car. one of the shots caused the death of one of the passengers, as confirmed by sources in the case. The suspect – who has not yet been identified – is running.

The incident occurred just before noon on a Q route train entering Manhattan’s Canal Street station, WNBC-TV reported.

In this sense, the Police described the event as a “unprovoked attack”.

According to the police source, the victim was a 46 -year -old man that it is fired “at random” and the bullet hits directly on his chest.

Due to serious injuries, he was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, located in the area, where he received medical help although they were unable to revive it. A few minutes later, he died.

The New York Post medium pointed out that the shooter he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with “Aeropostale” written on it.

Police are still searching for the individual, the AP agency confirmed.

From the New York subway, they warned of a reduction in service of this line because of what happened.

“The N/Q train is running on the R line between DeKalb Av and Canal St in both directions, while the NYPD continues to conduct an investigation on Canal St,” they warned on their Twitter account.

They added: “Trains were delayed at Northbound N/Q while the NYPD was conducting an investigation on Canal St.”

A month after the shooting at the Brooklyn station

In recent times crime has risen on the New York subway, which has alarmed city residents. Last month a man detonated smoke grenades and shot 10 people.

On April 12, a man wearing a gas mask detonated a smoke bomb and fired at passengers on the New York subway during rush hour, injuring at least 16 people, some of them seriously, in the middle of the panic scenes.

The episode took place at station 36th in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park neighborhood around 8:30 a.m., when thousands of people boarded the subway to go to work.

The city fire department said that at that time they received a call from the station about the fire and when they arrived they saw there were people injured at the scene. Police later reported that 10 passengers were shot and 6 more sustained other injuries. 5 remain in critical condition.

A day later, police authorities arrested the accused man. It’s about Frank James, who was found walking in the middle of the street in Manhattan, after more than 24 hours of surgery.
