At least nine people were killed in attacks on three minibuses Wednesday in Mazar-i-Sharif, a major city in northern Afghanistan.

“The bombs were placed inside three minibuses in different parts of the city,” Balj provincial police spokesman Asif Waziri told AFP, adding that 15 people were injured.

At least two people were killed and ten injured in a bomb attack on a mosque in Kabul, the Interior Ministry said.

No group claimed responsibility for the four attacks.

The number of attacks has dwindled in the country since the Taliban took power in August, but a series of bombings left dozens dead in late April, the holy month of Ramadan. Some were claimed by the Islamic State (IS) jihadist group.
