Committee for Free Speech (C-Free) official, Amada Ponce, said atAFPRicardo Alcides Avila, 25, is dead at a hospital in Tegucigalpa, after being shot in the head on Wednesday. He was attacked by unknown people in the south of the country.
naAvila is a journalist and cameraman for Metro television and radio station in the town of Choluteca, 85 km south of the capital.
On the morning of May 26, he was traveling from Santa Cruz to work in Choluteca, and there he was approached by unknown people who shot him at close range.he added.
