At the military parade in London that kicked off Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations on Thursday, at least two people were disturbed by running in front of marching soldiers before they were arrested, according to television footage.

According to the footage, two men rushed behind the barriers where tens of thousands gathered on Mall Avenue leading to Buckingham Palace and reached in front of a group of soldiers.

One of the men raised a sash before the police dragged the men with a golden crown on their head.

Police said in a statement on Twitter, “Many people were detained trying to enter the ceremonial road of The Mall. The arrests were related to public order.”

We would like to thank the crowd for their support by applauding our officers who responded to the incident in a short time and returned to their duties.”

Nearly 1,500 soldiers and officials participate in the colorful “Spool the Color” military parade held annually to commemorate the Queen’s official birthday.

Elizabeth joined the parade on horseback until 1986—five years after a man fired six empty shots at her as she passed. At that time, she managed to control her horse, who was afraid of shooting. He was unharmed and the man was arrested.
