Massacre in Tulsa: the shooter went to take revenge on a surgeon accused of back pain

U.S. police revealed Thursday that the gunman who killed four people at a hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, went to assassinate one of the surgeons for a personal reason: she accused him of the pain immediately after a back operation performed by the professional.

The suspect who committed suicide after the shooting, according to police confirmation, has been identified as michele luigiwho on Wednesday raided the San Francesco hospital in the city of Tulsa armed with a rifle and a pistol.

“Louis had recently been operated on by the surgeon Preston Phillips at the hospital and would have called the clinic to complain of back pain, “Tulsa Police Chief Wendell Franklin said at a news conference.

The police found a letter from the suspect in which “he clarified that he entered the hospital with the intent on killing Dr. Phillips and anyone in his way“said the police chief.

“He blamed Dr. Phillips for the continued pain in his back after the operation,” he revealed.

In addition to the surgeon, the other victims of the brutal attack were another doctor, a receptionist and a patient.

They got in his way and Lewis killed themas he warned in the letter, “Franklin said, adding that the assailant committed suicide after the massacre.

“The suspect bought a semi-automatic pistol at a local gun shop. shortly before the shooting“confirmed the police chief.

This latest massive attack comes when Texas buries the remains of 19 students and 2 teachers killed last week at an elementary school in Uvalde.

This new tragedy in Oklahoma has reopened the debate in the United States and many are calling for stricter gun control legislation.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, there have already been 233 mass shootings in the United States this year (those in which four or more people were injured or killed in a single event, excluding the shooter).
