Adele’s Life won first prize at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.
Sorry, Eyes wide open, this list of (good) erotic movies only includes titles from the 2000s and up. Most of them are not only recognized by the person writing this article: they are festival films and very well received by critics and viewers.
As much as it weighs us down, Stanley Kubrick’s cinematic gem starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman The party was months away (although perhaps this special mention can help you write your title in some nook and cranny).
Something similar happened Accident… even if with that of David Cronenberg everything is more boundary. For now, due to the lack of references in the subgenre, what you will read is not a list of erotic films between humans and cars, but one performed entirely by people.
Eyes Wide Shut, Stanley Kubrick’s latest film, was released in 1999.
The films that will appear later include different themes and more than one scene of those that uncover the vases. The explicit does not prevail. They come from many countries and, to a greater or lesser extent, erotic propositions constructed with virtuous hands which, through the noble accommodation of cinematic resources, refuse to be fully involved in the subgenre or, if you like, share the same bag of 50 shades of gray or 365 DNI. We see.

Year: 2016
Another title by which she is known: The handmaid
The Maiden is the penultimate film from the South Korean director.
Park Chan Wookthe director of this BAFTA-winning film selected at Cannes, it is refined and twisted. South Korean is distinguished by two characteristics that seem to disagree, but when exploited in the art world they can wreak havoc.
in the girl, Sake Y hidko They live together in the mid-thirties in Korea and have a relationship that begins with them in their roles as maid and lover and ends in a way you will likely remember for a long time.
2- Shame: no reservations
Available in: Google Play
Year: 2011
Another title by which she is known: shame
Fassbender shines in several films of Steve McQueen’s work. Here to shame.
Shame is no joke: it gradually turns an addict’s seemingly mundane story into a thriller.
Brandonthe twisted protagonist played by Michael Fassbenderhe spends his time reading adult magazines, having casual sex with prostitutes in Manhattan and meeting women he meets in remote areas of New York.
The beautiful film of the Oscar-winning director for 12 years a slave offers a tidy and intense adventure in crescendo through the troubled mind of a boy whose world is turned upside down when his sister interrupts her sick and sexual routine.
3- Portrait of a woman on fire
Available in: Movistar Play
Year: 2019
Another title by which she is known: Portrait of a lady on fire
Adele Haenel and Noemie Merlant are the stars of the beautiful film by Sciamma.
Portrait of a Woman on Fire is perhaps the most erotic on this list and the one that shows the least. Set in 1770, the story, which could easily be the animation of a Baroque painting, is that of Marianne Y Eloisaa painter and her muse.
Celine Sciamma it did not win best screenplay for free at Cannes. The best French woman of her year encloses her almost unique and opposite character duo in a romantic bubble not without fantastic slips and emotions.
4- The life of Adèle
Available in: not streaming
Year: 2013
Another title by which she is known: Blue is the warmest color
Léa Seydoux (left) became famous with The Life of Adele.
This title ranks fourth to demonstrate the insignificance of the order in which the films appear in our article. Adèle’s life is, and I would dare to say that few dispute it, the best film of 2013. It won Cannes and did not win the foreign Oscar due to problems of time.
The story is that of Adelea fifteen-year-old girl who doubts her sexuality and changes her mind when she meets her emmathe girl who put her blue hair in fashion and who, thanks to the talent of the actress who plays her, that there were two excellent Bond girls and a couple of great characters in the work of we anderson.
La vida de Adèle is a 180-minute tour de force that tells the relationship between these two women and in which the director Abdellatif Kechichealmost on the verge of raw gloom, he allows himself to express in jerks everything that can be imagined about the intense love affairs of his youth.

5- The stranger of the lake
Available in: Qubit
Year: 2013
Another title by which she is known: Stranger by the lake
The stranger of the lake caused a sensation at Cannes 2013.
The Stranger in the Lake was the outlet version, if you like, of Adele ‘s life in the year Kechiche’s film was released. At Cannes 2013, Alain Guiraudie’s film won the award for best director in the Un Certain Regard section. Moral: 2013 was a good year for erotic cinema (and it doesn’t stop there).
In this hybrid tarzan-style adventure for more than 18 years, a group of French bathers spend the summer together on the shores of a dazzling blue lake and in an adjacent forest …
6- Secret in the mountains
Available in: Star +
Year: 2005
Another title by which she is known: Broken mountain
Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger in one of the best films of the century.
Brokeback Mountain forgoes the top spot for this article Adele ‘s life for the simple fact that there may be those who believe that the Jake Gyllenhaal Y Heather Ledger It is not an erotic movie.
The one led by ang lee, winner of three Oscars, is a powerful love story between two cowboys who are sent to work together in the mountains during the summer. When the working season ends, the paths of their gardens fork, the plot spans years and years, meetings and reunions, and one, as a spectator, just prays for the end to come and the protagonists to end up together …
7- Blessed
Available in: not streaming
Year: 2021
Another title by which she is known: No
Virginie Efira is Benedetta.
Benedetta is not for everyone. At a minimum, you must be over 18 to view it. Paul VerhoevenDirector of Robocop, it has accustomed us to the fact that there can always be more to his films. In this, yet another of his cinematic whims, the “Flying Dutchman” presents a provocative adaptation of the novel “Immodest acts: The life of a lesbian nun in Renaissance Italy (Studies in the history of sexuality)” by Judith C Brown.
The story revolves around the woman who gives the project its name, an Italian woman who, in the mid-17th century, is taken to a convent as a child and, over time, realizes she has visions. In the midst of all this, an exploration of homosexuality in novitiates and a plague that, unfortunately, reminds us of unfortunate things.
8- Nymphomania Vol. 1 and Vol. 2
Available in: Netflix
Year: 2013
Another title by which she is known: Nymphomaniac. Volume I and Volume II
Von Trier’s film was split into two volumes upon its commercial release.
2013 is undoubtedly the year of erotic cinema. Did we mention that already? It was promised that it would continue, and here we are. Although with Nymphomania, some understand, Lars von Trier goes a bit. But don’t worry: the film is on Netflix, in its two volumes and in a more mellow version.
The controversial Dane’s piece shows a huge group of stars in sexual situations of all kinds. These scenes are triggered when the protagonist of her story tells her personal story to a man who saves her from an alley.
As a curious fact, it can be mentioned that the production used an innovative technique to record the sex scenes. When showing the bodies in full action, they used the upper half of the recognized actors and the lower half of some body doubles. Both, of course, were then joined by the computer.
