Russian troops have succeeded in capturing “a large part” of the Ukrainian (eastern) city of Severodonetsk, and the battle for neighboring Lysychansk is wreaking “enormous destruction”, the regional governor (8) said on Wednesday.

“Russian forces control a large part of Severodonetsk. We still have the industrial area, there are no Russians there. The conflict is only taking place in inner city streets,” Lugansk regional governor Sergei Gaidai told Telegram.
