100-year-old Italian Candida Uderzo caught the attention of the country when she managed to renew her license.

According to evaluators, the happy woman has great eyesight, sharp reflexes and knows how to drive.

The old woman currently lives in Breganze, in the province of Vicenza.

After their assessment passed without major issues, the newspaper “Corriere della Sera” reported that Uderzo was renewing its license for the next two years.

“I have always driven and I love to be independent, especially not to be a burden to my son. This renewal has made me very happy and will keep me feeling free for longer,” the older woman celebrated.

Despite being 100 years old, Uderzo did not hide that his health surprised him and stated that he rarely took medication.

“I believe I am lucky. I am 100 years old and it amazes me that I am this healthy. I never take medication, at most I take a few sleeping pills occasionally,” said Uderzo.

The only thing she regretted was the untimely death of her husband, but this was the turning point in Uderzo’s life.

“I thought surviving was about making the most of life and not giving up on anything. First I started walking and taking long walks with my friends, which helped me a lot in getting over my grief. I signed up for a Breganze hiking group and, from that moment on, I never missed a vehicle. Every Sunday morning at six o’clock. you find me at the door of the house ready to go,” the Italian finished.
