AFP – In General Confession, Paraguayan prosecutor’s killers sentenced to 23 years in Colombia 17/06/2022 23:00

The Colombian justice system has sentenced each of the four detainees to 23 years and six months in prison for the murder of Paraguayan anti-mafia prosecutor Marcelo Pecci on his honeymoon in the Caribbean.

The prosecution said that four of the five arrested had pleaded guilty to “aggravated murder and smuggling, manufacturing or carrying firearms”.

Pecci, 45, was shot by men on a jet ski on an island near Cartagena. Shooter Wendre Still Scott Carrillo was convicted of the crime; Eiverson Adrián Arrieta Zabaleta, responsible for transport and logistics; and Marisol Londoño Bedoya, along with her son, Cristian Camilo, detailed the presence.

According to the prosecution, Scott Carrillo is Venezuelan and others Colombian. Authorities were unable to identify the mastermind behind the murder, for which the attackers received approximately $530,000.
