Most mothers and fathers do everything to please their children, so that they are happy and without emotional and economic shortcomings. But being a mother and a father at the same time is often difficult, especially at certain times when this condition becomes more evident for children.

However, the love of the mother is so great that they resort to unthinkable acts to see their children happy.

A Mexican woman dressed up as a man to play the role of “dad” so that her son would feel no different during the Father’s Day festival.

The Facebook post went viral on social media.

In the images disseminated on social networks, it can be seen that the mother has put on a cap, mustache and beard “pass for father” according to one of his sons.

“We won’t have a dad, but we do have a mom who gives everything for us! My mother dressed up as a man to give my brothers a smile and the affection we would need one day », wrote one of the minors.

The publication went viral and generated several reactions. While some recognized the gesture of her mother, others felt that with her gesture she made the situation of her children more evident.

The viral publication does not indicate the woman’s name or where she lives.

Why is Father’s Day celebrated?

There are several stories about the emergence of this celebration, but the most respected dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, in Washington, United States. There, in 1909, lived a woman named Sonora Smart Dodd, who, after listening to a sermon for Mother’s Day (which was already being celebrated there), wanted to honor her father, William Smart. He was a civil war veteran, widowed after his wife died after giving birth to their sixth child and raised alone on a rural farm. The date she proposed was June 5, her father’s birthday, which celebrated the first father’s day in history in 1909.

However, as much as the proposal to honor the parents was made, her date was not. It was 1924 when President Calvin Coolidge made it a national holiday and only in 1966 did President Lyndon Johnson change it to the third Sunday in June.
