The primary school, which was the scene of the massacre in which 21 people died, will be demolished in Uvalde, Texas, USA.

The announcement was made this Tuesday (21) by Mayor Don McLaughlin during a meeting with citizens seeking a response from authorities following the shooting at Robb Elementary School.

“You can’t ask a child or teacher to go back to that school,” said McLaughlin, who didn’t give any timeframe for the demolition.

The massacre took place on May 24 and was committed by a young man who, at the age of 18, was wielding two rifles he had legally purchased.

21 people, including 19 children and two teachers, lost their lives in the attack.
