An air tragedy mourned all of Venezuela this Wednesday. Six people, including the president of the Estudiantes de Mérida club, died when the plane they were traveling on crashed to the ground near a cement factory in the city of Charallave, in the north-central area of the country.
The news was confirmed by the Deputy Minister for Risk Management and Civil Protection, Carlos Pérez Ampueda, who specified that the damaged plane, type Learjet YV3304, was heading towards Puerto Cabello, on the central Venezuelan coast.
The official explained that the deceased are crew members Guillermo Vargas and Milton Quigua, and four passengers identified as Aldo Camacho, Juan Barajas, Ronald Camacho and sports leader Christian Toni.
