The Austrian capital is located from third time at the top of this index made by “Economists Intelligence Unit”investigative unit affiliated with the English weekly The Economist.
It happens to the New Zealand city Auckland, which lose 33 places due to the lengthening of the sanitary confinements.
Experts awarded the stability of Vienna, its educational and medical offeras well as the quality of the infrastructures with the highest score of 100 out of 100. Cultural and environmental factors were considered almost ideal.
Europe largely dominates in the top 10 with six cities in attendance, including Copenhagen and Zurich, which complete the podium behind Vienna and Geneva (sixth place).

Canada is well represented with three cities: Calgary (3 shared seats), Vancouver (5) and toronto (8).
Paris is in 19th place.23 more positions than in 2021.

London is in 33rd place and Barcelona in 35th, eight positions ahead of Madrid (43).
Milan was ranked 49th, New York 51st and Beijing 71st.
The criterion
To be included in this panel, the city must be considered a “business destination”that means, an economic and financial center, or to be requested by customers.
Beirut, badly damaged by a port explosion in 2020 and the politically unstable capital of Lebanon, was not included.
Effects of the war in Ukraine
The authors indicate that Kiev was to be excluded from the report in the context of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. At the same time, Moscow (80th) lost fifteen places.
