The zoo added that security guards don’t have time to constantly monitor what’s going on, but are now more alert after images of the endangered animal go viral.

The photos come just weeks after a zoo visitor was filmed being mistreated or manipulated by a monkey at an Indonesian zoo.

According to a local media, the man climbed over a barrier to get close to the orangutan and be able to shoot a video. According to a report to Riau Saura, the man ignored a warning sign not to get too close to the animal and jumped a concrete fence.
Orangutan Tina grabbed a tourist’s leg in an Indonesian zoo.
The zoo director also believes the man kicked the orangutan, which he says is usually docile, before the camera started rolling. Luckily, neither he nor Tina were injured after the accident and the visitor has learned a valuable lesson on how to obey the rules when it comes to wild animals.
He later apologized for breaking the zoo’s rules, saying, “I apologize to Kasang Kulim Zoo for stepping through the fence and I apologize for the viral video.”
