The judge scheduled a hearing for July 8 to decide whether to block further the veto, which Hope Medical says violates her rights to due process under the state’s constitution.

In Republican-led Texas, where the ban on abortions after six weeks of pregnancy went into effect last year, a Harris County judge Tuesday ruled that officials’ pre-Roe v. wade.

In Idaho, a company affiliated with Planned Parenthood has asked the state’s highest court to block a “trigger law” from being enforced. The abortion ban passed by the Republican-controlled state legislature in 2020 and will come into effect in August.

Similar lawsuits were filed by abortion rights advocates in Kentucky and Mississippi, asking state courts to block the enforcement of “triggering” bans that they said violated state constitutions.
