Russia calls NATO an ‘aggressive bloc’ after countries say they are creating troops in Europe

The Kremlin today described the Western military alliance, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), as an “aggressive bloc” formed for the conflict.

The military alliance announced on Monday that it has formed a large contingent across Europe aimed at strengthening its defenses.

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov also said in a conference call with journalists that Russia’s operation against Ukraine, which Moscow calls a “special military operation”, will achieve its goals.
