It was the night of January 27, 1976. Kyle Wade Clinkscale (22) left the Moose Club, a bar where he worked in his hometown of LaGrange, Georgia, United States. He was on his way to Auburn University, where he was studying, in Alabama. No one else has ever seen it.

“For 45 years we have been looking for this young man and we have been looking for this car,” the officer said. “We drained the lakes, looked here and there and looked at this theory and another theory, and we didn’t always find anything,” he added.

Kyle was an only child. His father died in 2007. His mother earlier this year. And he never gave up hope that his son would come home one day.said the sheriff. He added: “We always hoped to find her before she died. Just the fact that we found her and the car gives me a huge sigh of relief.”

Herb Cranford, the Troup County Attorney, told the outlet he would not comment as the investigation is ongoing.
