Queensland Police Inspector Anthony Cowan said the death was a “tragic accident” and added that “there was no indication of alcohol or unsafe driving.”

“It is possible that there was some inexperience driving such a vehicle as it rolled over on its side and the woman fell and suffered very serious injuries,” he said.

“It was a tragic accident with a golf buggy.”

Hundreds of people gathered for the funeral on Saturday 2 July, in the church where the couple had married. Marina’s cousin Miriam wrote a poem in her honor and told it to the service marrying Robbie was a dream come true for Marina.

According to the Daily Telegraph, she said, “A daughter, friend, family member and wife. Marina has truly achieved her greatest goal in life. Marrying her close friend, Robbie, and being a bride, while he too has made his family proud. “

“The night before her wedding we huddled together and she told me how satisfied she was and that life couldn’t be better,” added Marina, the deceased girl’s cousin.

“She was beautiful inside and out, loved to laugh and always had a positive outlook on life.” Robbie sobbed as he and other family members carried her coffin.

Speaking to reporters after the funeral, he said: “I can’t explain the sadness in my heart, my wife has been loved by many. “So many have felt her (love) and she has taught kindness.”

He added that he would create the Navy Morgan Foundation in his memory. “In her honor I will lay the foundation for spreading love, kindness and hope throughout the world,” she said.
