Robert Crimo III, the young man arrested in Chicago, in the United States, accused of having carried out the Highland Park massacre which resulted in 6 deaths and at least 30 injuries, he planned the attack for weeks, fired 70 bullets and dressed as a woman to cover his identity.
This was confirmed by local authorities on Tuesday, who corrected that the suspect’s age is 21 years -and not 22 as it had transpired in the first instance- and stated that it was an attack that It was planned in detail.
It was at a press conference that Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy Director Christopher Covelli detailed, “We believe he has been planning this attack for weeks. a high-powered rifle at the parade, “he said.

And he added regarding the chronology of events: “He got access to the roof of a shop via the fire escape and then started opening fire on the innocent people attending the Independence Day celebration,” he said.
In this sense, he noted that he shot more than 70 times against the crowd and that the gun had been legally purchased by him in Illinois.
Similarly, the police authorities revealed the strategy used by the attacker to enter the march by pretending to be another participant and not letting himself be discovered: he disguised himself as a woman to cover the tattoos on his face and not reveal his identity.
After the incident, Crimo – who is later known to be a gun-loving rapper – was arrested “without incident” after a car chase in court about 5 miles from the scene.

Soon after, police released pictures of him and the car he was driving, a Honda Fit, with the warning that it was someone armed and considered dangerous. After being arrested, the young man was handed over to the Highland Park police.

Details about Crimo’s life began to emerge after his arrest. He is the second of three siblings from a family of Italian descent from Highland Park. His father, Robert, is a merchant who was once a candidate for mayor of Hightower, a town near Highland, but without success.
Known online as Awake the Rapper, songs and images in which guns and violence seem to be a central theme are intertwined in their networks.
According to The Daily Beast, his online footprint indicates that he was passionate about video games and wrestling. She had also posted his videos and songs of hers, as well as drawings in which people can be seen lying around a red spot in front of a deployment of police patrols.
In the most viewed video on his YouTube channel (which has since been removed from the platform), called On my Mind, Crimo can be seen in what appears to be a classroom slipping into his backpack to pull something out, when the plane it just intersects. In another section, he is seen dressed in a police tactical uniform and throwing bullets to the ground.
