Former Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, 67, collapsed bleeding and suffered a heart attack after being shot this Friday during a campaign event in the city of narain the western part of the country.

Abe, who visited Argentina in 2016 and 2018 during Mauricio Macri’s presidency, stood up giving a speech before Sunday’s elections for the upper house of Parliament.

After being hit by shots that would correspond to a rifle, he was treated on the spot and an ambulance quickly took him to a nearby hospital.
