Ivana Trump, the first wife of the former US president who died on Thursday, succumbed to “impact injuries to the chest,” New York coroner’s authorities said on Friday.
His death was accidental, they said in a statement, without specifying the circumstances.
Donald Trump soberly announced Thursday that Ivana Trump, 73, had died “at her home in New York.”
He had praised the “formidable” life of this former cross-country skier and model of Czech origin, who was his wife from 1977 to 1992. The couple had three children, Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric.
The “criminal” track a priori discarded
New York police said in a statement that they went to Ivana Trump’s apartment after calling 911 and finding her “unconscious and unconscious.”
His death did not appear to be of “criminal origin”, the police had already indicated.
According to New York TimesThe police wanted to check if Ivana Trump had fallen down the stairs of her house, located in an upscale neighborhood in Manhattan.
In October 2017, a few months after Donald Trump’s installation in the White House, Ivana Trump published “Raising Trump”, a book in which she said she had taught her children “the value of money, not lie, cheat or steal, respect others”.
After Ivana, Donald Trump married actress Marla Maples, with whom he had a second daughter, Tiffany. He has been married since 2005 to Melania Trump, mother of his son Barron, 16 years old.
