Pope Francis returned this Sunday (17) to criticize the war in Ukraine and urged the international community to commit to continuing peace negotiations.
Angelus’ prayer is, “I am always close to the Ukrainian population, who are tortured and hit by a missile load every day. How is it possible not to understand that war only creates destruction and death, alienates peoples, kills facts and dialogue?” Angelus prayer.
“I pray and hope that all international actors will work really hard to keep the negotiations going, not to feed the bullshit of the war,” he said.
Jorge Bergoglio has already condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine several times and said the country is the target of “direct intervention” by a “superpower”, never naming Russia or President Vladimir Putin.
