The head of Russian diplomacy assures that Russia is no longer focused “only” on the east of the country but on “a series of other territories”.

The head of Russian diplomacy, Sergei Lavrov, said on Wednesday that Russia’s military objectives in Ukraine are no longer limited only to the east of the country, but also refer to “a number of other territories”.

“The geography is different now. It’s not just the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (the breakaway territories in eastern Ukraine, ed. note), it’s also the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions (in the south, ed. note) and a number of other territories, and this process continues, steadily and stubbornly,” he said in an interview with the Ria-Novosti news agency and the RT channel.
