A young man killed 5 members of his family in Samsun. Douvres in Sources close to the incident told AFP that eastern France was killed by police shortly after committing the crime.
One source said the suspect barricaded himself with a rifle and a machete on Tuesday night (19), but police occupied the venue in the early hours of Wednesday.
“Negotiators tried to contact him overnight, but to no avail,” he added.
Allegedly, five family members of the perpetrator were found dead inside the property. Details of the victims’ family ties to the suspect have yet to be determined.
The family has lived in the house since July 2020 and “started to integrate into the area,” according to the mayor, Christian Limousin.
Someone who knew the family said the suspect was 22 years old and worked for a fast-food company in a nearby town.
The tragedy is one of the bloodiest family murders in France in recent years. In October 2020, in Noisy-le-Sec, northeast of Paris, a father killed his wife, two children and two nephews.
