In downtown Sun City, Florida, a nanny burned a 10-year-old boy “To teach him a lesson”. The 29-year-old woman was taken into custody in Hillsborough County.
The attacker, identified as Jennifer Posey, took care of the boy for five years. But one day in late June she got tired. Noticing that the little boy was trying to pour ramen soup over another minor (who was also under his care) he decided, as a punishment, to teach him a violent lesson.
He took the hot pot he had made the Japanese soup with two minutes earlier and pressed it hard on the boy’s arm.. The young man suffered a ten centimeter long wound and, although he did not have to be hospitalized, he was treated with home remedies.

Authorities following the case described Posey’s aggressive actions as “a form of discipline”. Once arrested, the nanny admitted that she burned the baby “to teach him a lesson”.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said the woman was arrested for “aggravated child abuse”.
“Children will be children, but an adult would have to apply something better than such great physical punishment to try and correct their misbehavior,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister, adding, “This suspect’s actions were intentional, unacceptable and unacceptable. now she will have to face the consequences of inflicting unnecessary pain on a helpless child ”.

A few days before Posey burned the young man, a much more violent situation occurred in Colombia: a 9-year-old boy was attacked by his mother and stepfather and ended up in intensive care. The couple accused of the abuse were arrested, charged with attempted aggravated murder.
According to the local prosecutor, the 9-year-old boy was beaten with objects and was even tied with a chain in a dark room and subjected to humiliation. In addition to this, he had signs of malnutrition and traces of blows to the body with “blunt, abrasive” elements.

The doctors of the university hospital of Valle, where the boy was hospitalized, they assure that he has irreversible neurological sequelae and fear that he will no longer be able to speak or walkas indicated by an initial diagnosis.
The degree of violence was such that the victim had a tracheotomy and a gastrostomy, interventions applied to allow him to breathe and feed.
According to the local prosecutor, the events for which the couple were sent to prison took place on February 21, 2022 in the village of Cachimbal, where the woman’s son “was apparently subjected to violent beatings and had to be hospitalized in Restrepo. “
“The medical diagnosis certified that the child had been a victim of abuse since February of this year, when he was already living with his mother and stepfather,” said the local prosecutor.
The arrested couple could be sentenced to more than 20 years in prison for attempted aggravated murder.
