A robot designed to play chess broke a 7-year-old’s finger during a game in Moscow, Russia last week. The information was given by local media outlets.
“The robot broke the boy’s finger,” Sergey Lazarev, head of the Moscow Chess Federation, told Tass news agency. “This is obviously bad.”
In a video shared on social media, it is seen that the robot took a part of the child. The child then makes his own motion while holding the robot finger.
Four adults rush to help the boy, who is finally released and taken away.
Lazarev said that the machine played many games in the past without recording events.
Tass reports that the boy managed to finish the final days of the tournament in the cast.
