Russia said on Wednesday it had destroyed a foreign weapons depot in the western Ukrainian region of Lviv, the border area with Poland that has been rarely bombed since the start of the Russian offensive.
“Near Radekhiv in the Lviv region, Russian high-precision missiles destroyed a foreign weapons and ammunition depot delivered from Poland to the Kyiv regime,” the Russian military said in a statement.
Moscow did not detail the types of weapons destroyed in the Radekhiv offensive, 60km northeast of the regional capital, Lviv.
AFP was unable to confirm the information with independent sources.
Russian forces also said they destroyed four ammunition depots, one in the Mykolaiv region and three in Donetsk.
In addition, the army announced that it will attack a fuel depot in Mykolaiv.
The Russian army claimed that more than 50 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in an attack in the Donetsk region.
