Citing a report from Amnesty who accused the Ukrainian Army of Military Bases of Schools and Hospitals and of launching attacks after living areas, Volodymyr Zelensky believes that the NGO “transferred responsibility from the attacker to the victim.”

“There can be no conditions that justify a Russian attack against Ukraine. The aggression against our state is openly terrorist. And if someone makes a report in which the victim and the aggressor are somehow put on an equal footing (…) this cannot be tolerated,” launches the Ukrainian president.

“This can not be tolerated”

“Anyone who gave amnesty to Russia and artificially creates a justification for these terrorist attacks (…) helps the terrorists”, launches Volodymyr Zelensky. “And if you provide manipulative reporting, then you share responsibility with them for people’s deaths.”

Earlier in the day, Dmytro Kouleba, head of Ukrainian diplomacy, was “outraged” and accused Amnesty International of “creating a false balance between the oppressor and the victim, between the country that destroys hundreds and thousands of civilians, cities , territories and the country”. who desperately defends himself”.

On Thursday night, Oksana Pokalchuk, director of Amnesty International in Ukraine, also criticized in a long Facebook post criticized the NGO reportalleging that it was removed from its production and that “the arguments of our team (…) were not taken into account.”

In addition to Amnesty’s report, the Ukrainian military has been criticized on several occasions since the start of the conflict, in particular for the presence of neo-Nazi groups in its ranks, such as the Azov regiment.
