Ukraine attacked a Russian airbase in Crimea yesterday, but scared off tourists staying in the seaside resorts. Videos posted on social media show people running along the strip of sand and watching thick black smoke, in addition to the sounds of explosions and sirens.

According to Sky News, eyewitnesses say they heard at least 12 explosions at Saky base at around 3:20 p.m. (local time) yesterday. Russian officials said one person was killed and five injured, including a child, in the attack.

On social media, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine warned tourists.

Last night, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Crimea is Ukrainian and will be liberated from Russian occupation before the war ends.

Russia said the attack was not a bombing, but an ammunition explosion.

“Several aerospace munitions exploded in a warehouse near the town of Novofiodorovka, on the territory of the Saki military airfield,” the Ministry of Defense said in a statement carried by Russian news agencies. Said.
