General panic spread this Sunday at an amusement park located in Gurnee, United States when it was triggered a shooting in the parking lot of the place causing injuries to three people.
The incident occurred a few minutes before 8pm outside Six Flags Great America, as the recreation site is called which is located approximately 72 kilometers (45 miles) north of Chicago in the state of Illinois. According to his spokesperson the shots came from a single vehicle who fled immediately after the attack.

Laurie Walker and her daughter Grace, who were inside the park during the event, told local media they heard screams and saw people running scared in various directionswhile queuing to enter one of the local attractions.

Walker and her daughter quickly climbed two fences to reach a spot where she could call her husband. Shortly after, they managed to get out unscathed but very scared.

Christopher Covelli, spokesman for the Lake County Major Crimes Task Force, said at a news conference that the gunman opened fire on parade participants from a rooftop with a rifle that authorities recovered at the scene. Covelli did not know from which building the shots had been fired.
Highland Park police searched intensely for the suspect, described by police as a white male, aged between 18 and 20. Finally, the authorities informed the capture of a 22-year-old.
