The fire broke out around 0315 GMT at a temporary ammunition depot at a Russian base in the Djankoy district of northern Crimea, the ministry said in a statement, quoted by Russian news agencies.
A precedent last week
Last Tuesday, the ammunition had already exploded at a Russian military airfield in western Crimea. The event had no casualties, the Russian military said in a press release.
