Two Moroccan diplomats stationed in Colombia have been suspended from their duties by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after being drugged and robbed by young people they met on Tinder, Agence France-Presse (AFP) learned this Friday from a Moroccan diplomatic source in Rabat.

The two members of the Moroccan embassy – a counselor and an accountant – were called to Rabat where they appeared before a disciplinary council for having damaged the image of the ministry, the same source said.

An open investigation with possible legal proceedings

They are likely to be removed from office permanently. An investigation has also been opened to decide on possible legal proceedings against him.

A local Bogotá television channel, City TV, citing a police chief, reported on Thursday that Moroccan diplomats had been stripped of their cell phones and a tablet after being drugged by two young women. Contacted on a dating app, they had been given an appointment at a restaurant in the capital.
