A truck ran out of brakes, hit a crowd in Mardin province, killing at least 19 people a Saturday marked by the tragedy in Turkey. Just over 300 kilometers away, in another fatal road accident, at least 15 other people died when a bus hit an ambulance, a fire truck and a vehicle carrying a team of reporters.

The shocking images of a video captured from a balcony show a truck without brakes, out of control and hitting hundreds of people in Derik, in the province of Mardin, in southeastern Turkey.

In addition to the 19 victims 29 are injured, 6 of whom are in serious conditionaccording to the Turkish Health Minister, Fahrettin Koca.

“Unfortunately, the number of people who lost their lives in the accident that took place when a truck entered the crowd in Derik, Mardin has risen to 19. The number of injured is 26, 6 of them in serious condition. I wish you mercy. God for those who have lost their lives and a speedy recovery for our patients whose treatment is underway, “the official said on Twitter.
