After the scandal unleashed in recent days in Finland, unleashed after the prime minister, Sanna Marin, was registered at a party and judged for having participated in it, the women of the Nordic country have started a social media campaign to support it.

It takes place under the motto “Solidarity with Sanna” (Solidarity with Sanna) and consists in the dissemination of videos of Finns dancing and having fun in various social events.

The initiative – which started on Twitter but then also arrived on TikTok and Instagram – filled the various platforms with recordings of messages of support for the premier targeted by the company for taking part in a trip.

The goal of it is playing down what happened and stress that “women can go out and have fun too” regardless of job title, marital status or age.

“In solidarity with Sanna, I will now post this video of myself falling on the dance floor at a bachelorette party last month,” tweeted a local reporter along with footage of her falling while dancing with a friend.

In another post we read: “Solidarity with Sanna … those who try to kill and bring her down should be ashamed.”

Finland’s prime minister, Sanna Marin, was embroiled in a controversy Thursday after leaking a video of appearing at a VIP party, singing and dancing during her vacation with a group of friends.
