In front of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, two activists took off their clothes to protest the country’s dependence on Russian gas.

The demonstration took place this Sunday (21) in Berlin during a meeting between the head of government and the citizens.

At one point, two women approached the chancellor and explored the upper body, revealing the phrase “Gas embargo now.”

In addition, activists have urged Germany to stop sending money to President Vladimir Putin’s regime through imports of natural gas. They were quickly evaded by Scholz’s security team.

Germany is one of the European Union countries that is most dependent on Russian gas, but it is taking measures to reverse this scenario, such as looking for other producers and increasing stocks for the winter.

However, Berlin has always been against the EU embargo on natural gas produced by Russia, even though the commodity was one of Putin’s main sources of funding to finance his invasion of Ukraine.
