The President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, participates by pre-recorded video message in the Crimea Platform Summit, this Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at the invitation of President Zelensky.

In this message, Emmanuel Macron reaffirms his attachment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. He said Westerners are ready to support Kyiv “in the long term.”
The Head of State recalled that the annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014, as well as the invasion launched last February, are in total violation of the norms of international law. He called for “no weakness, no spirit of compromise” against Russia.
